Arrival, rooms, & service
Arrival: The mountain village Mürren is car free and can only be reached by cable car. We have put together information for your arrival by car, train or airplane. How to find us
Parking: Parking in the valley is available in Lauterbrunnen (in the multi-story car park) or in Stechelberg at the Schilthorn cable car station (outdoor parking spaces). Charges apply.
Luggage transportation service: Guests or luggage can be picked up from stations in Mürren between 8 am and 8 pm on request.
Check-in: Rooms are available from 3:00 pm. Of course, you can also check in earlier - from 8.00 am - and deposit your luggage with us. Check-in is possible until 9 pm, please note the travel times of the cableways. Information about the cableways.
Check-out: On your departure day we ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 am. You are welcome to deposit your luggage with us until you leave for the valley upon request.

Pillow menu: If you do not want a feather pillow, we have a limited selection of synthetic and ergonomic pillows. Please contact us if necessary.
Drinking water: Our tap water, filtered by the Schilthorn rock, can be enjoyed as drinking water.
Smoking: Hotel Edelweiss is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is allowed on the terrace only.
Laundry service and washing machine: If necessary, you can use the washing machine and dryer (self-service, for a fee). Alternatively, we offer a laundry service – please contact the housekeeping staff.

Hotel price: Our hotel prices are per room per night, including breakfast buffet, VAT.
You can book the four-course half-board evening menu if you book in advance. The price is CHF 50.00 for adults and young people from 13 years of age, CHF 30.00 for children from 6 to 12 years of age.
The abbreviation ZF stands for room/breakfast. This price does not include dinner.
Extra bed: Upon request we can provide additional beds in certain rooms for an extra charge. Children's beds are also available on request CHF 15.00.

Visitor's tax: The tax in Mürren is CHF 5.60 per person and night (from 16 years of age), children 6-16 years of age CHF 2.40 per night. The visitor's tax is not included in the room rate.
Method of payment: As means of payment we accept cash, EC direct / Maestro as well as Visacard, Eurocard / Mastercard and Postcard. You can also exchange euros in Swiss francs at the reception desk. We charge a commission for the exchange. The Schilthorn cable car in Mürren also has an ATM.
Service charge: A processing fee of CHF 50.00 per room is due upon booking. This will be credited to your total invoice. In case of cancellation, this CHF 50.00 will be forfeited.
Cancellation conditions:
- Up to 15 days before arrival: no fees (except CHF 50.00 service fee)
- 7 to 15 days before arrival: 50 % of the room price
- Up to 7 days before arrival: 100 % of the room price
Travel cancellation insurance: Unfortunately, there are always cases of illness or accidents which mean you cannot begin your journey. We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance as a precautionary measure

Holidays with a dog
Dogs: In the Hotel Edelweiss your pets are allowed - except in the dining room. We charge CHF 15.00 per night for your dog without food. Out of consideration for other guests, we ask you to keep your dog on a leash at the hotel. Dog owners are liable for any damage caused by the dogs.
Family holidays with children
- Children's beds are available on request. Extra beds are possible in some rooms. We recommend our special rooms and suites for families. For children's prices see "Prices" above.
- Baby phones can be borrowed at the reception desk.
- Ask about babysitters at the reception desk. (hourly rates)
- Outside, the pristine nature is the perfect playground for children – in summer and winter in the car-free mountain village.
- Board games are available for your use in the Hotel Edelweiss.
- 2 playgrounds entice children to play directly in Mürren.
- The Adventure playground "Flower Park" on the Allmendhubel (reachable by cableway) turns children into great discoverers thanks to its oversized flowers and exceptional play opportunities.
- At the Winteregg Restaurant you will also find an extremely attractive and versatile playground for your children. The indoor swimming pool in the Alpine Sports Centre Mürren is free of charge for our guests.
- In winter the ski and snowboard school offers courses for children and adults. Childcare for kids from 2-8 years old is available at the children's paradise in the Alpine Sports Centre Mürren (for a fee). And you can have fun sledding on the toboggan runs in the Mürren-Schilthorn ski region.
- The ice rink in Mürren is free of charge for our guests.
- The ski slopes from Gimmeln to Winteregg are ideal for families with children.

Restaurant opening hours: Our à-la-carte restaurant is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm in summer and from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm in winter. (orders can be placed up to one hour before closing).
Bar: The bar at the restaurant is open from 4:00 to 10:00 pm in Winter.
